Torre Abbey Sands, in the northern corner of Torbay, is the main windsurfing beach. Suitable for all abilities, there is a marked lane out to deep water in summer. Prevailing W – SW winds give cross to cross- off, flat to bump & jump conditions. Anything from S to NE can produce surf if the wind is strong enough and is best sailed in low to mid tide. Parking is limited in summer but there are car parks nearby. Torquay has all the amenities you’d expect of a popular seaside resort.
