GREEK FREESTYLE WINDSURF TOUR

 Naxos, the largest of the Cycladic islands and a popular destination for windsurfers, hosted the largest sporting event for freestyle windsurfing!

The Greek Freestyle Windsurf Tour (GFWT) — whose first stop was Drepano, Achaea in the Peloponnese in May teamed up with the Naxian Freestyle Contest –which started on Naxos and held with great success, on November 2014– for an unbeatable two days of flips and stunts from some of the country’s top freestyle windsurfers.

The finals of the Greek Freestyle Windsurf Tour and the Naxian Freestyle Contest v.2 took place on October 24th and 25th, 2015 at the “Laguna” at Agios Georgios Beach, Naxos, a natural and ideal spot, known for its shallow and calm waters which make it one of the friendliest spots in Greece for those interested in learning the sport.

Organizer of the event was the Water Board Sports Festival — creator of a variety of watersport events such as windsurfing, SUP and kitesurfing — in collaboration with three Naxos watersport clubs: Laguna Beach Park, Flisvos Sport Club and Flisvos WaterSports and co-organized by the Region of South Aegean.
