Sailloft speak on their new signing of the multiple world champion –
”We welcome Karin Jaggi in our sail and development team. We see Karin Jaggi with her 29 world champion titles as the perfect partner for us to develop our sails even further. Karin will be strongly involved in the development of our race sails Ultimate and Mission.
Karin Jaggi: “I know Olaf and Gerrit since several years due to the partnership with our brand PATRIK boards. When they told me to develop a slalom sail and that I could be part of it I found that very interesting and challenging. The reliable and direct collaboration within a small team are the optimal basis for fast and efficient development.”
Karin received the first prototypes of the Ultimate prior to the Lancelin Ocean Race in Australia, which she directly won. The Ultimate is characterized as a slalom race sail for the highest demand. Typical for us is the high level of manufacturing and material quality. The focus was set on performance and long life. The new wide aerosleeve mast sleeve optimises the aerodynamics of the sail. This increases significantly the top speed, the control in overpower conditions and during Jibing. ”
